Has anybody installed already BES 4.1.1 on a Lotus Domino 7 server?

So, some services are working... any way.
But after a Handheld activation, the addressbook will not be synchronized. We have checked everything for thousand times. Above all, there are no errors in the logfiles.
It's really strange.

Unless all of your users are using roaming profiles, you will need to synch their address books manually, as they are not kept on the server, thus will not synch with BES.

From the client workstations, open the Inbox, select the "Actions" menu, and click on "Synchronize Address Book".

We have the replicas of the adress books on the server. And the BB-server is also as manager in the ACL.
A little bit strange is, that in the BB-Logfile is nothing written about "address book" during the activating of a user.

Does maybe a servirce on the BES is missing???

Are we talking about personal address books here, or the corporate address book (names.nsf)?

I use the method with this "Synchronize Address Book" in the Mailfile. On the BES Manager I entred the server and mailfilename in ten PIM-data field.
The template of the mailfile ist this StdR6Mail.

Everything is working after a enterprise activation, excepting the personal address book!
I have't the "Desktop [SYNC]" - servicebook on the handheld... hmmm.
How can i get this f..... servicebook?

In the meantime I solved the Problem. I reinstalled the MS-XML-PArser 4.0 on the BES. I made that, after I found some strange XML warnings in the Eventlog.


by the way...
It is a bad idee to sync the personal address book as a part of the users mail box.
Suddenly some entries are twice on the Handhelds address book and the sync of the personal is functioning manually.
The best solution is Notes roaming
