Smile Removing icons shows an X instead of hiding

Please Login to Remove!

Hi to everyone on this FANTASTIC forum. I am new here and also an owner of a 8700c. My question is...I had a 8700 which I dropped a few days ago. I was able to hide any icon I wanted by clicking alt and the track wheel. I got a new one from Cingular and when I try the same thing, instead of hiding the icon it just puts an x over it while still showing the icon. Tried it with the enterprise activation icon and brickbreaker and it just puts an x. Hope you can help.

Tony

Never heard of this before. Have you changed the OS up (i.e. added Bharti etc so you can have the Zen theme) or is it the stock OS from Cingular?

Click the ALT key and trackwheel (or Pearl) and make sure that "Show All" does NOT have a check mark next to it.
