I have a user with a Blackberry connected to a BES, and it will not do anything wirelessly. It will send/recieve fine when connected via USB. Not even PIN messages get sent when not connected.

So other than resetting the device and resending the service book is there anything else I can try? I am kind of thinking that as it can't even do things not relating to BES it is an issue with the device itself.

Have you tried sending a PIN message from that BlackBerry to itself?

In the upper right corner do you see GPRS or EDGE or 1X or 1XEV or NXTL in uppercase?

I don't have the device in front of me now, in fact I am not even at that site. I don't recall seeing the 1X or 1XEV (it's Verizon). I know the area has coverage as my Verizon BB (same model connected to same BES) gets a signal and so does everyone else there.

Might that be an issue with the device? I will be there later today and try a reset to see if it comes back up.
