Default hour glass spins for a while and bb is slow then after its done 90% of emails deleted

Please Login to Remove!

i really cant describe it in one word but this is not the first time it has happened, i have my options set to Never delete emails, well once every 6 months or so my 7290 (cingular) it just shows the hourglass spinning for minutes then when its done it reboots and i look at my messages and about 90% of them are all deleted??? all the apps are fine and everything is fine except my messages are gones...

infact it did it yesterday which caused me to come here to look for answers. i tried to do a search but didnt really find it...

in the past when the hour glass was spinning i got fed up and did a manual reboot and again most of my messages was deleted... is this a BES issue or my bb?

thanks

I believe that when the BB starts to get "full" it will start to delete messages to free up space on the device.

The way to prevent this from happening is to clean out your files more than once every six months. Try once a month maybe. Or when you get an email and you don't need it, just delete it right then.

At some point, messages need to get deleted so that new ones can come in. I never manually delete messages from my blackberry, and the old ones just drop off at some point. I really don't notice it happening.
