Default is this a bookmark bug?

Please Login to Remove!

i have a 7130c and i have 2 browser icons, one is cingular and one is blackberry. i use the blackberry browser and every time i add a bookmark to the blackberry icon and go into bookmark....i have to expand it to display the links again...it is alway in collapse mode for both media net bookmarks and blackberry bookmarks.

on the other hand if i use the cingular web browser, if the media net is expand, it always will be expand. but not in the case of the blackberry bookmarks even if you have it expand. if you close the cingular browser and go back into bookmarks, the media net bookmark is expand while the blackberry bookmark is collapse.

this is kinda of annoying having to expand the blackberry bookmarks all the time. any1 know what im talking about and how to resolve it? thx in advance.

First, I have THREE browser icons - Cingular Browser, BlackBerry Browser, and Internet Browser. I'm on a BES setup, so perhaps that's why I have the extra browser, but I don't think that's the case.

The Cingular Browser is intended for WAP sites. It appears to use Cingular's own IP infrastructure as there have been sites I could not get to with it that I've been able to reach with both my BB and Internet Browsers. On my 8700c, I can NOT change how it starts (home page or bookmarks) as this option is not even available, and when I open my Bookmarks, I'm on the first bookmark under my "Cingular" folder by default.

The BlackBerry Browser uses my BES for IP connectivity. I know this because if I try to go to sites blocked on my corporate network I get the same message on my BlackBerry that I get on my computer. With this (and the Internet Browser) I can set my Bookmarks as my Start page (which I prefer!). When I open my bookmarks, I'm on the first link under my BlackBerry Bookmarks folder (with other subfolers I've created above it).

When I go to my Bookmarks in my Internet Browser (which appears to use a full Internet connection - no blocked sites whatsoever), I start on the first link under the Links folder.

I have not found any way to change which folder your bookmarks start in.

The bookmarks folder collapses every time you exit the browser. That's just the way it behaves. No way to change it.

Yeah, mine do the same. The ones I create are collapsed but those that came with it expand by default.

Actually, that's exactly why you have three browsers. Non-BES users should have two.
