Default Can't get BIS filters to play nice...

Please Login to Remove!

Having trouble with filtering on subject.

My mail server filters spam and rewrites the subject field as follows:

Old subect:

This is spam

New subject:

**** Possible SPAM (5.5) **** This is spam

So I'm trying to setup a BIS filter for this:

Main: Forward Messages to handheld
Filter: Name: TEST
Apply filter when: "Subject" field
Contains: Possible SPAM
Do not forward to handheld

So I craft an email to myself with test in the subject and test in the body, but it doesn't show up on my handheld. Based on how the rules have been crafted, I should recieve that email.

I also crafted an email to myself with the subject field containing the TEST filter criteria. I haven't received that email either, so it appears that it's working, at least partially.

I've been wrestling with this for a couple of days. Anyone have any ideas?

Is there some magic way that these filters work that isn't very well documented?

The filtering on the BlackBerry is not very good. Your best option is to have your SPAM filtered before it hits your email account. Thus, nothing to forward to the BlackBerry.

Remember, please try searching first!

Need a screenshot? ... Like JavaLoader?
Try using BBscreen .....Use JL_Cmder!
or BBScreenShooter!
