Default MSN Messenger, Just like Desktop Version on your Blackberry! - 09-17-2006, 11:08 PM

I have searched far and wide for an MSN Messenger application that would not charge me and SMS fee. It's features are outstanding. This program, QuickIM, works just like the desktop version of MSN Messenger. Of course each program has it's flaws. I think it would be great to have a pop-up window from your Home screen but hey, its a cellphone not a computer.

It was easy to setup and easy for me. I installed it on my Blackberry 7100i and I was good to go. Probably the best advanatage that I have found is simply being able to have QuickIM run in the background while I am doing other things, but also being able to use emoticons. Just like home. I recommened it! Its the first program on my list.

Check it out for yourself, at least download it and give it a try. Visit QuickIM.com

But can this be used to communicate from the BB to a desktop PC? (on MSN)? Is this possible?

Default IM plus for bell IP - 11-04-2006, 06:14 PM

I used the IM plus it worked Great for the trail period . I purchased a full version and the server will not connect to register. It says BAD DNS address. After many emails and even msn with the tech support and sending in my logs to them they determined that is was a bell issue . I had similar problem when i first tryed berryvine. Wont work with bell. Please if any one has a idea i would like to hear it . I have a 8703e on stand alone not BES .

unfortunately, without BES, you're out of luck for the moment, until RIM's IMs get released.
