Ive gone and spent $$ getting a flash new pc for my (home)office and installed MS Small Business server cause I need my MS outlook on the move and now I cant Sync my 7290 to it.
Blackberry Tech Support tells me they dont support MS SBS but there is probably a wat to configure the installation to make it work.

Has anyone been down this road,I'm hurting!!

I run a MS SBS 2003 server and installed BES Express 4.1 on it. No problems at all. Just don't run Outlook and BES on the same machine!

I dont run BES and my machine IS the server!!I don't really want to fork out for either BES nor a separate PC,is there a solution?

There is a single license BES available...how you tried that? You likely won't need a separate machine for one user.

You need BES to sync the BB remotely. As stated by Jase, there is an Express version which they will give you a free single CAL.

I know that MS SBS and BESExpress have been configured on the same server, but not sure if it has been done on a machine that is also a user pc. There might be some performance issues there.

There are also 3rd party option like mymailexchange.com which will allow remote access. It does cost for the service, but also takes away alot of the headaches.
