Question Blackberry programs that utilize standard GPRS

Please Login to Remove!

I have an old blackberry 7290 and absolutely love the device. The battery life is excellent and the keyboard is great. To get to the point, I currently use a Treo because it allows me to browse the internet and occasionaly check my email on the treo using a GPRS connect for 5 or 6 dollars a month. I understand the difference between push email and IMAP and that the Blackberry uses different protocalls to browse the web. However, I was wondering if anyone has developed or is in the process of developing software for the blackberry that allows it to utilize standard GPRS to do basic things like browse wap sites or check IMAP email (mainly for users who only occasionaly need to use an internet connection on there phone and can't pay for the proprietary blackerry services).

Thanks in advance.

Nope. BIS-only data is your best bet.
