One of our users had this message (listed below) come up when he first got his BB. It showed up whenever he sent an email from either Outlook or his BB, and the strange message appeared in both places. I searched your forum and found the earlier posted solution of uninstalling and then re-installing w/out Redirector. That worked perfectly for about a week. Now he is getting the same type of message, but only when he is sending a message *from* his BB, and he only gets the strange message on his BB.

I saw another post here that said to go Enterprise Activation and cancel it. On his EA he showed no email address, just his PIN number. Does that need to be cleared out? Any other suggestions??

Thanks very much,
Jessica

I don't know for sure; How can I check? I know we use Microsoft Exchange to forward his email back and forth.
Thanks.

If you don't know then most likely you aren't using it. On the BlackBerry go into Options --> Advanced Options --> Service Book or Options --> Service Book and look for the Desktop [CMIME] service book. Highlight that service book, press the track wheel and select view. For the third line from the top where it says UID, what does it have? An email address or a number that starts with an S?

When you open up Desktop Manager, do you see four icons in the Desktop Manager or three icons?

mischief007:

The UID has an email address in it, and in Desktop Manager there are four icons.

Thanks for your help,
Jessica

I am getting a bit more information here. We do *not* run BES. We are simply using our exchange server to send a copy of any email sent to the outlook address to the BB. If the BB is used to send out a message, no email copy should go to the outlook account. So that UID with the email address it sounds incorrect.... what do you think?
Thanks again,
Jessica

Mischief007, thank you *so much*! You got me headed in the right direction all right! I deleted that CMIME service book and all is working correctly. Thanks again. Jessica
