I'm a new 8700c user and have set up my email. I was wondering how long it takes for the bb to scan for emails and if there is anyway to change it? I have recieved a couple of emails but some others I don't recieve and check my computer and new emails are in my account? Did i set something up wrong? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

I think the general time delay is 15 minutes. DO a search and I think you may get more information. I know some sites such as Gmail and Yahoo are much quicker, but the general rule is 15-20 minutes.

I have no problem with the delay, as long as I get it. If someone wants me in a hurry, then they can call me, or they have to wait like everyone else.

Blackberry scans every 15 minutes so you email will be delivered to your device with in 15 minutes. The are 3rd parties offering faster service. I use versamail.com: The Leading Postage Site on the Net

Versamail will poll your account as quick as every single minute and push your email to your Blackberry. There are other rates of polling at different fees but I have used Versamail for a long time and they are not to be beat for mail service who do not offer forwarding. I have been on AOL for 10 years now and do not want to change my company's email address. AOL does NOT offer email forwarding so Versamail keeps me in contact with my customers in real time!

15 minutes is not fast enough for me, I need to answer my customers question quickly while they are still sitting in front of their computer. That is what I got a Blackberry for in the first place!

It may also be possible that Outlook on your computer downloads emails before blackberry can poll them. To check- shut down your computer and see if you started to receive all emails.
To fix- configure your outlook (or whatever mail client you use) to leave emails on server for 3-5 days.
