I've been looking after a pilot of 20 users and have been asked to draft a submission to move from Pilot to production and increase the number of users.
I'm just looking at possible strategies for how we select users for roll out. We've got a number of CDMA devices that were used for the pilot and may also look at getting some GSM/GPRS devices.
Options I can see at the moment are:
Recall the CDMA devices from the current users that do not need the increased coverage and redeploy to new users that will need this coverage.
Deploy GSM/GPRS device to users that are in areas of good coverage.
I'm just wondering what others have used to select the people to receive a BB?
Options I'm thinking of are:
1. Match to role e.g. Executive/Senior Management, Field based staff etc.
2. Replacement for mix of PDA devices that have been deployed previously. Recall Palm/Dell/Compaq and replace with BB.
3. Make available as an option where the user chooses to receive a BB instead of a PDA/mobile.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
