Ahh, just use the direct link to the portal - http://www.blackberryforums.com/portal.php

I'm sure its just a DNS redirect issue, atm.

Yep. Tom's fixing that now.

Most people seem to visit this site through BlackBerryForums.com nowadays than BlackBerryClub.com so fortunately not a biggie...

For now, just click www.BlackBerryForums.com/portal.php

The portal is a blog-like "Home Page", an alternative view to BlackBerryForums.

Much like the Home Theater http://www.avsforum.com is the portal of the forums at http://www.avsforums.com/avs-vb ....Many forum sites do this, so get the news out, and for more areas to put banner advertising on to finance the operation of a site, etc.

think of it like a newspaper's front page. you can start reading a bit on the front page, but almost always it says 'story continued on page...' or something like that. as mark said, its just a nice place to cram a whole lot of information. its fully automated on the backend. some places tend to add news feeds on these portals (think msn or something), others add on upcoming events or previews of the latest threads from the forum or news bits pertaining to the site. its fully integrated with vBulletin, so its a very nice add-on touch to the site, depending on the site's and users' needs.
