Hi, is there a way to disable the instant messenger sound when a new instant message comes through? I've muted every possible phone sound but that bling sound still comes in loud. Any ideas?

I hope we can download those apps soon, they have not given a timetable for existing berrys.

T-Mobile had their own IM client written (by OZ) and has been on the 7100t models since they came out. And no, I don't believe there is anyway to shut off those amazingly annoying sounds. They are not controlled by the standard BB profiles.

The downloadable (T-Mobile) OZ client for the 7290 allows you to mute, vibrate or set IM Messages options in the profile. However, I don't know if there is any update available for the 7100 OZ client.
