I saw in previous posts that you don't usually need a username and password. Actually, I don't think I ran across any examples where you did, usually just needed "wap.voicestream.com" in the APN field. Anyone know any exceptions?
BTW, I'm on t-mo, BB minutes and mail plan (unlimited data, 1000 minutes per month) ... no BES activation. Since it's for my personal use (credit card billings, utilities, family, friends), I was most interested in it's ability to use SSL in emailing. But I'd like to use secure web-browsing. Heard Minuet is good for that, but slow, since it doesn't use a middleman server (which Opera Mini does). Both those apps require the APN port activated with "wap.voicestream.com" (whatever that is!) |
