Default Some more questions from a newer user (caller id and network)

This website is great and I am getting the hang of my 8700c since I got it yesterday. My first impressions: great, powerful little tool even though it will be used just for personal use. Larger than most phone I have had, so have to get used to that.

A few more questions. Is there caller ID where I can also see the name of the caller and not just the number for incoming calls? Also, it is recommended or necessary to turn off the network connection when not using the blackberry for long periods of time, especially night time?

Also, it was a piece of cake to set up my yahoo email. When I delete emails from my blackberry, how come they don't get deleted from my yahoo account when I go to my computer to check it?

Caller ID - On my 7520 it will show the name of the caller if I have them in my address book. If not in the address book it will show the number only.

Network connection - I only turn the radio off if I'm in an area with no coverage. The battery will get run down searching for a connection otherwise. Other than that, mine is always on, although I work for an EMS agency and am required to be able to be contacted.

Yahoo mail - Doesn't work that way. You can reconcile email on a BES the way you want, but AFAIK you can't with any other type of email account.

Do you have the Yahoo account setup in BIS? If so you can try to change some settings.

Message Options --> Email Reconciliation
Set Message Services to the Yahoo Account
Set Wireless Reconciliation to On

When you delete an email from the BB, choose the option "On Mailbox & Handheld"

I use this with my email [not a Yahoo Account] and when I delete on my BB, they delete from my inbox. If you have multiple accounts setup, it will only work with the one setup and I believe it varies per email provider. It will not work the other way, ie: emails deleted in Yahoo will still remain on the BB.
