Question 7730 and Google maps

Please Login to Remove!

After having great satisfaction with my personal BB, I talked the owner of our small company into buying some for our technicians to use. I have downloaded Google Maps to my 7100t, but we're having trouble getting it to work on the 7730's that we purchased. It downloads, but when it tries to load, we get a message about attempting to connect inside the firewall, and outside the firewall, and our IT policy not allowing it. These are unlocked phones, and we have no IT policy....lol. I assume there is some setting internal to the BB that is causing this error. Anyone know anything about this?

if you got them online, more than likely, there was an IT policy applied to them, and the seller did not clear the devices of that IT policy.

You can check the status of the policy:

go into Options --> Security Options --> General Settings

What does it say next to "IT Policy Name:"

You may need to contact the seller of those devices to clear them.

Search this forum for more info. There are a lot of people in this boat.
