Default Error Syncing with 2 PC's

Please Login to Remove!

Hi everyone,

I recently acquired a BB 8700g with BIS and have found out that it does not sync well with 2 PC's (one at home and one at work). Many Calendar items are getting messed up in this setup. I thought of going wireless with a hosted BES to solve the problem but my carrier will not allow BES on my SIM Card (and there are no carriers that will do it here in Brazil...). So I do not know how to solve this issue. In case I subscribe to one of those hosted BES (even though I will not be able to use BES...), would their Exchange server solve my problem at all? I know nothing about Exchange, but I presume that it would be possible ot make both the work and the home PC sync with the Exchange server. But then again, without BES, how would I be able to sync my BB with the Exchange server? Any help will be much appreciated, especially if someone finds out how to simply use the Desktop Software to sync with 2 PC's without errors. TIA,

Alan

Default

if your two calenders are not connected to the same .pst file or if they are not using an Exchange mailbox, all events in your calendars have a different UID associated with them.

In other words, what is happening to you is expected behavior.

Exchange would help solve the issue because essentially, the two outlook clients would be pointing at the same calendar, therefore, UID would be identical on each item in your Outlook client.

Good luck!
