Default Increasing reconsiliation frequency?

Please Login to Remove!

Hey everyone! I took a hiatus from BBs for a little while and used a WM5 device. I hated it. Even with push email it still was terrible compared to my BB.

Now that I'm back with a pearl, there's one thing that annoys me: the frequency of reconsiliations. When I delete a message on my computer, it seems to take up to 30 minutes for it to register on the BB! Of course, if I select reconsile now, it goes away immediately, but I hate having to do that.

I'm constantly switching from my laptop to my BB and back throughout the day and it's really frustrating to think that I have unread messages when I don't. my WM5 device would pick up deletions almost immediately but the BB takes a while.

So is there any way to speed up reconsiliations? I am the BES manager so I can change any settings in there. Thanks!

Without changing any settings you can use the Reconcile Now option on the handheld. This will force a reconcile of any pending changes.

Oh, I know that. Is there a way to change the automatic frequency? It's really annoying to do that 20 times a day....

The reconciliation is part of the BES process, and I believe the polling takes anywhere from 5-30 minutes. If there was a way to change it, it would likely have to be on the server level, not on a device management level. Plus, if you're sitting in front of a PC and deleting off your blackberry then why not turn off redirection when the device is cradled with Desktop Manager?

1) I am the server admin. I can change any of the settings in there.
2) I don't cradle it. I just connect it to power. And I don't wan to cradle it. Always seems to mess things up.
