.. can a BB6710 be unlocked? reason I ask is because I purchased a remote unlock for this model through ebay, I received the software they send, but it wouldnt work. I emailed the guy and he asked if this model used the mini usb (which it doesnt) so I replied that it didnt and he said then that model cannot be unlocked. So I replied how come his ad included the 6710 model. Now I am confused whether or not this model can be unlocked. Please help and if anybody knows if IT CAN be unlocked, please guide me in the right direction, thanks.

Would this unlock the features that Cingular hides also? Being able to use it as a Bluetooth modem, etc...

No.
This is SIM card unlocking to use the device on another network (in this case, not AT&T).

There is no way to "unlock features".
