Default Blackberry BIS 2.0 Email Issue

Please Login to Remove!

I have a 7290 with Cingular.

I had my email setup via gmail and everything was working fine. Then however I changed my gmail password. So, the email stop going to the blackberry....no problem I thought. I'll just sign-in to the Cingular BIS site and update my password. No such luck though...I get an error telling me there was a validation error and I need to check with my email provider.

So, then I deleted the account and tried to set it up again. I recieved the same error again. I was curious to see if this was a problem with every account or just this one. I tried to setup a hotmail account and was able to do so without any problems...

Any suggestions?

I remember a user experiencing this exact problem. Unfortunately, I donxxx8217;t remember what the outcome was. I think he just waited and the BIS accepted his new password.

Try doing a search for Gmail and/or password and see what hits.

Some co-workers and myself were having the same problem. This worked for us:

Delete the service book tied to the account you're having problems with on your BB (Options -> Advanced -> Service Books then find it and delete it.)

Next, login to your BIS and delete the account you're having trouble with. Then, re-add it from scratch.

This should work. If you notice two mailboxes on your BB after this, just pull the battery, count to ten, put it back in and you should be back to normal.

OWA Integration Failure

Let me know if it works...
