I bought an 8100 on Tuesday, and my boss tells me that she wants my 7105t. She does not have service with T-Mobile, so I requested and unlock code from them. I received it today. The unlock code was for the SIM card. I could care less about unlocking the SIM card because I am using it in my 8100. I just want the phone itself unlocked so my boss can use it on her network.

Is this possible?

kaj0005, I would suggest the site that justin.culp suggested.. I had a BB unlocked with them and it went smooth.

What kind of unlock code did they give you? I've not heard of it taking any time for them to provide you with the PUK code for your SIM, and I don't know why you would have requested one of those anyway. If you told them that you need your 7105t unlocked for use on another carrier, they should have given you the phone unlock code. I would try again with T-Mo before I spend money on a third party's website.

I had told them I wanted the phone unlock code, but they sent the SIM unlock code. I will have to give them a call back today.
