Can anyone shed some light...

My address book is listing my contacts according to categories. As not all of my contacts have been assigned a category, those not assigned are listed below those who have an assigned category.

The problem is, when I use the find feature, by typing in a letter, I only get those names that have been assigned a category. This occurs in both the address book and when I try to compose an email and enter the email address of someone in my contacts list.

Any ideas. I did not know you could sort your address book via categories without using filters....

So, with no replies to my post, I took the long way - I gave all 300 contacts a category and all is good now... As long as all new contacts get categories too....

Hmmm... that's news to me too. I'm not sure how to even do this after looking at my address book.

I know two hours seems like a long time but this isn't Blackberry technical support. You shouldn't expect a response until at least 24 hours down the road (on any forum, really).

Wirelessly posted (7100i BlackBerry Yummy: BlackBerry7100i/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/103)

Yes, I didn't care for how the category thing worked. I took all filters off. On address book uncheck boxes, then it will just have your entire list uncategorized

The original poster waited 11 DAYS for a follow-up.
