okay, had an accident today and busted my 7520 (read: slipped, fell like a fool and my phone was on my hip). Actually everything seems to work but the freakin screen is toasted. I can do nothing until Tues. There are a few rudimentary things I can do which steps I have memorized, but I can't see a freakin thing. Worst part is...right before it broke, I put the phone on Quiet. I can't figure out a easy keystroek shortcut to change back to Loud. I gotta have access to a phone, lol...

My question is: Is there anyway to remotely (thru USB, Desktop Manager, or any other 3rd party software) make any changes or see anything on my phone? Anyway to change my profile thru desktop manager? See any of my saved messages or current text messages? I know I am receiving calls and messages becuase I can check my voicemail and I also get the red LED notifying me of new call/text/email.

UPDATE: okay, maybe someone can walk me thru the steps to cahnge the profile since I am navigating blind in the BB. I can roll the track wheel and get to teh position of the "speaker". I click it once to select it, then I know the "Loud" setting is the top most, so I roll the track wheel all the way up then click select..it's after this point that I can't recall what happens. I know a window opens with "enable and some other options on it, but I'm not sure which position "Enable" is at. What I can do is, once that selection window is open, roll the track wheel all the way up and if someone can tell me how many clicks down to go, I think I can get this thing to ring at least.

I know it's alot to ask, but any help would be really appreciated...thanks in advance

try the desktop manager -- backup/restore feature. Read the manual on how it works. =)

Do not think you can make changes thru your desktop. This is the main reason I always maintained a spare Blackberry. DO you have a buddy that has the same BB that could help you thru clicking thru the menues by looking at theirs?

yeah, I've flipped thru the manual as well as online blackberry support..no luck there. and the only folks I know with BB lick mine are my co-workers, but I'm outta town right now...arrrghhhhh...

Might be time to go to the store and get another. Install the software from the new, do a backup from the old and restoring to the new. If on BIS, log on and change PINs and you are up and ready to go.

yeah, I'm outta toen but I will go searchin for a Nextel store today, was hopin there might be a way to navigate to the profile settings thru the keyboard at least. I wonder if nextel can give me a loaner phone while they repair/replace this one? Problem is, it's company phone and I may have to contact coporate in order to really do anything, and the office is closed for the weekend. Oh, and the phone uses Enterprise Server...

UPDATE: No Techs are wortkin on Sunday anywhere, I gotta wait til tommorrow to do anything...
