Default Memory and incoming messages

Please Login to Remove!

Hi guys,

I have a 6750 running OS4 on BES 4.
I've noticed that my memory is pretty low. Less than half a meg.
I have deleted all my emails, and have about 50 contacts.
No extra programs installed.
When I reboot, the memory goes up to about a meg, then slowly comes down.
Anyone know what this is?
My bigger concern is that when I press alt I to see incoming messages.
I get a list of "some" of my incoming messages over the past 2 months.
1) why only some? and not all.. (all my messages go to my bb)
2)Are these using memory? I assume they are because they have been dloaded.
3) If I delete them, they delete out of folders on my desktop..which I dont want. So, Ive changed the option to "keep only for 15 days" will that only delete of the handheld?

Please advise. THANKS!
Adam

The 6750 only has 10Megs of memory, and OS4 takes around 8Meg or so. Add in your email, tasks, notes, etc, and you get really close to that 10Meg limit.

In your message list, click the thumbwheel, go to options, then Email Reconciliation and select the "Delete On:" option. If you have this set to "Handheld" then it will only delete the message from the handheld and not from your desktop.

It could be that some are phone logs, some SMS, some email and some PIN. Which would come up differently in that case if you hit alt-I. Is this possibly the case with yours?

Default ALT-I incoming messages

Nope, I deleted all pins, phone and sms.
We're talking only email here.

They are deleted on the handheld, but show up on ALT I.
Even turned off my radio, so I cant communicate with the BES and I can still read the messages..so I know they are locally downloaded.

I believe these are filed messages (moved to a different folder, or even just marked as saved).
