Default Buying BB via Amazon then Changing Plan

Please Login to Remove!

Howdy All

Okay, I am going back and forth between getting my 8100 through Amazon (For $50) or through T-Mob (For $200).

TMob has this new thing called Fave5 which is a new plan that allows you to have 5 people that you get unlimited outgoing/incoming with.

Amazon does not offer this plan through their system.

I was wondering if anyone knew the possibilities/implications of getting my 8100 through Amazon and then trying to change the plan with TMob. Is it possible?

Go to wirefly then click on TMOBILE under "FEATURED CARRIERS" then click on FIND OUT MORE when you see the pearl advertisement

I bought my 8100 from Amazon, and I changed the plan a few days after I got it. Amazon didn't have the Minutes and Mail plan available. The customer service rep said that I could change the plan whenever I wanted. It just means that your contract obligation starts over again. I'm sure the same applies to MyFaves.

Saweet!

Thank you Marabuchi, that is what I figured, that I could change the plan but it would just restart the contract.

Completely worth the $150.00 difference in my opinion.

Definitely getting my pearl this week. Saweet.

Thanks for pointing out the wirefly deal. I do see now that it is free, but after mail in rebates. I hate mail in rebates.

Does anyone know of any websites that has the free (before or after rebate) offers for a Blackberry on a data only plan? I want to stick with my current cellular service and phone through Sprint, but use the Blackberry for just email, IMing and internet use.

I went on Amazon today to look at getting a Pearl (I bought one locally for $249 but have time to return and "rebuy" for FREE at Amazon) and they do have the same myFaves Family plan available that I had originally gotten at the store. It was a few pages in on the plans. You might want to take another look.
