Question about blackberry 6280
 

Hi,
I'm a new member here. I just bought a new 6280 off of ebay. I don't have it connected to any service, but it has the AT&T logo on it. I just plan on using it for PDA purposes. So far I love it, I've been able to download a lot of software onto it and I can even get RSS feeds to it. My only problem is the fact that everytime I turn it on, or it idles, or I connect to the computer, I have to enter my password. It becomes tedious after a while (especially since I don't have any classified information on it). Is there anyway to disable the lock? I've gone to options-security, but that won't work. There isn't even an option for disabling it. Could someone please help me with this? Thanks

You can't download any software over the air or get RSS feeds to it without a data plan. Without a data plan, you can't get internet, email, messenger service, or anything that uses the data signal. All you can use it for is voice and SMS messages.
