Can someone give me the site that gives out weather station codes for Pocket Day and BBWeather etc. If you live in the US, zipcodes usually work but for those of us not so blessed, another code ir required:
eg. the code for Ottawa Canada is something like CAX04334. However, I need the exaxct code.

There was a site posted on this forum, that would give this information. Can anyone remember?

just go to weather.com, enter the city, then just hover your mouse over the resulting link. You'll see the code.

If you go a little further and click on the link, the code you need will be in the URL of the page on which you end up. For example, if you want Los Angeles, CA, go to the page and look at the URL. The code will look something like USCAxxxx, where the xxxx is the position of Los Angeles in an alpha list. If Los Angeles is #0752 on the list, the code will be USCA0752.

Ciao

Wink

just for the sake of being a smartass ...

Running a search for "BBWeather location codes" revealed 3 threads (including this one) one of which lists the aspnetresources.com address listed above as well as a couple of other sites that can be used to resolve location codes:

BBtoday Weather

you may have used the search, but you also wasted 170 people's time opening this thread because they didn't know what it was about due to a rediculous topic line.
