Go to Options > Network and see if there is an option to turn data off. This will stop all data, not just email.

how often do you want to receive them? you can set up a filter on the BIS account to not forward emails...then when you know you want to start receiving remove it...

or if you only want to get them when not at a copmtuer you can set up your mail client (liek Outlook) to not leave a copy on the server...then as long as it's open you won't get them on your handheld

It's not really designed for this. However, you can also try Messages->Options->Email Settings and turn Send Email To Handheld off.

I would probably use the BIS Verizon online account to do this. It would depend on the frequency of the change. I wouldn't want to log in each day and make a change, but once a month or so wouldn't bother me.
