I just purchased an 8703e from Verizon. I installed the BES Express because I wanted to be able to wirelessly sync my calendar from my computer to my Blackberry.

I work in a law office and use Timematters as a calendar. It has the ability to sync up with outlook, but unfortunately, although Outlook was able to sync with a Treo 650 through Verizon Wirelesssync, the Blackberry BES has trouble reading the conversion and will not update the hand held.

If I manuall update Outlook or the Blackberry, however, it works fine.

Subsequently, I tried using the redirector instead of the BES, but I cannot open attachments.

If I cannot get this working, I guess I'm going back to the Treo. Can anyone give me any advice that will help me resolve these issues!!!

Although I may not know what's wrong with your BES setup you can try asking RIM for free. If you have BES Express installed you can register for free support at http://www.blackberry.com/Tx0Activation

I spent an hour on the phone with them today. They were unable to come up with a solution. I was hoping that someone at this forum may have had a similar issue.

If I just use the redirector, do you know if it is possible to view attachments?

I don't think attachments are sent using the redirector. DO a search in the RIM software forum.
