I have an 8707 connected to a BES 4.1 server. Whenever I read or delete emails from my Exchange Outlook client, it apears to be pure luck whether the status change of each message is reflected on my BB.

As an example, right now Outlook is saying that I have zero unread messages. However, my BB is saying that I have 12 unread and when I open up the messages, they are emails that I deleted earlier in the day from Outlook (and then synched with Exchange). I have tried doing a reconcile now (and waiting for 30 mins) but no joy.

Any ideas?

if you have emptied your trash can befor syncing - or doing a reconcile now - the emails will not delete on your handheld

I am having the problem the other way around. This user was out for two weeks and was deleting items on his Blackberry while he was gone. Now, he gets in to the office and all of those messages he deleted on his Blackberry are still in his Outlook inbox. I've tried re-synching manually from the desktop manager and from the blackberry. Generated new key, just for yuks. Any other ideas? Why won't the messages delete from Outlook? Also tried to set handheld wins and synched. No dice. Thanks!

If the mail has been deleted from the handheld it will not be deleted from the inbox unless delete on both handheld and mailbox was set BEFORE the mail is deleted from the handheld.
