Default Problem hotsynching BB

Please Login to Remove!

All of a sudden my boss's Blackberry is unable to hot synch after having no problems whatsoever. We did install a software program (Adobe 7.0 Standard) which we had some problems with and after the installation of this program was when the problems began. She gets a "runtime error. abnormal program termination" when she tries to hot synch. We already tried re-installing the BB desktop manager software but still no luck. Any thoughts?

Well first you need to determine if it is the BB (boss) or the computer system problem.

Step 1 - Connect Boss BB to the computer,
Step 2 - launch the Desktop Manager, under Options->Connection Settings
Step 3 - Click Detect to see if the Desktop Manager can see the BB

If not, then find a spare BB if you can, connect it and repeat step 1 to 3. This will determine if it is the BB fault or the Desktop manager corrupted.

Alternatively, you can install Desktop Manager on another computer (lets say yours) and try to detect the BB. If it can, do a backup there.

Whatever is corrupted, reinstall the desktop manger, device and handheld firmware. Restore the backup and try again.
