Default Rename Ringtone or other file

Please Login to Remove!

Is it possible to rename a downloaded ringtone or other file on the Blackberry? I downloaded several new ringtones from the Ringtone Megaplex and they all show up on my device as "get". They play, but I'd like to rename them with the actual tune name.

I have a 7250 (I am a former SX56 and Treo 600 user) and I have not been able to find any sort of Blackberry file manager utility other than eFile (which does not expose the existing files or apps on the 7250). Does such a utility exist?

I was trying to do that as well. I couldn't find a way, so I just deleted them and downloaded them again -- you can name them when you are downloading them.

Thanks. I'm rather new to the Blackberry. Didn't realize I could rename the file on the "Save" confirmation screen.

Still looking for a file manager program...

I'm new as well. Just got mine a couple of weeks ago. But I have been lurking on this message board since last September. At the time I decided to get a Sidekick II instead, but after a few months of unreliable service and no bluetooth, I decided to switch to a Blackberry.
