I have a BB 7520 with BES. I am trying to access some plant production data that changes every few minutes. The data is available in a spreadsheet. I can send an email with the data and read it, but I am looking for a way to go get the data when I need it, ie out in the plant, at home, etc. There is not a huge amount of data that I need, maybe 100 data points. I need info updated to within the last 5 minutes, but I don't want to flood my email with data until I need it. Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this? The only thing close to what I need is having a spreadsheet on a website that is updated every 5 minutes, then I can use a web browser to go look at the data. The problem is it uses a lot of PC resources, and the website is down quite a bit, sometimes it won't take the file, etc. Are there any more elegant solutions, like a push or pull application? Maybe wireless synching somehow, like ascii import/export?

Haven't tried it myself but I think Avvenu is designed for this. There are a couple of other similar apps, IIRC. Try a Google search along the lines of "Blackberry remote file access".
