YOu could do a backup of the older Blackberry, and the restore it on the new one. That will transfer your SMS.

However, there's no "program" to do this.

I have a dilemma since my back-up is BlackBerry 5820

I'm having problems with my Blackberry 6230 (always don't have signal and opening sms/text messages are sooo slow now).

You can email them to yourself.
That is a pain, takes awhile, but it will work....
