Default Tones - Email vs SMS

Please Login to Remove!

is there a way for a handset to differentiate between and email message and an SMS message? due to the amount of emails i receive daily to my corporate account (300+), i keep my handset message tones on silent. however, that means that i likely miss a few SMS messages as well (or simply respond to them a few hours later).

just curious... its a feature i'd like to see if its currently not available. i'm running a 6710 w/ TMO.

Yes, when you edit a profile you can change the SMS message profile and have it different than the message profile. :D

Very easy to do, just go into your profile menu, edit, and make the Message option different than the SMS options.

on the 6710, the only options i have are Level 1 Messages (no idea what these are) and Messages. the Messages section controls both the SMS and email tones.
