Default Quick question regarding BES vs. personal account

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,

Just a quick newbie question from someone not new to Blackberrys, but someone new to having a device with a personal account.

On my work 7290 that uses a BES server, items I delete become deleted in Outlook in my mailbox - I set it up to prompt if I want to delete on desktop & handheld, or just handheld.

I recently bought a TMobile 8100 Pearl for my own personal use. I setup the desktop redirector, and I get mail fine. However, if I delete email on my 8100, it does not delete on my home PC.

Is this just how a non-BES service works, or should it be deleting messages on my desktop as well?

Thanks!

Steve

Wirelessly posted (NXTL7520: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry7520/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/103)

Nope, the desktop redirector just acts
like a forwarder. One-way synch.
