OK. Right to it.

I do not have the blackberry software cd that came with my 7290. I don't really know what it's for seeing as I am using it just fine.. but maybe not to it's potential.

I would like to download a few third party programs like an ebook, a game, and a nice app for my business.

When I went to the bb site and checked for what to do... I think I did something wrong . I have a desktop manager on the pc now.. it's version 4.0and the service pack is one... and there's an update I downloaded that goes with it.

On my bb the version and platform are listed as...v3.8.0.139 (Plat. 1.8.0.99)

The carrier is cingular . My pc email program is OUTLOOK.

Should I be doing somthing to get the destop manager and bb linked up? Which one should I pick? how do I update the version on the handheld ?

Why do I feel like I am in the twilight zone with this? But don't get me wrong...I'm not giving it up. I really like my bb and am taking it shopping next week for accessories .

GO BB. You're for me.

MsK

Default

The latest version of Desktop Manager is 4,2. DM is used to synch the BB (contacts and calendar) with Outlook or other supported programs. It is also needed to backup/restore the BB and to load applications. You can use over the air to load many programs however.
