Hey all,

Email has been down for vodafone australia for about 4 days now.

I can telnet to the MX port of the domain for emails and the blackberry mailserver answers and accepts the email, holds on to it for several days then spits back an error.

The following message to <xxx@mobileemail.vodafone.com.au> was undeliverable.
The reason for the problem:
5.4.7 - Delivery expired (message too old) 'timeout'

The email was Sent: Saturday, 28 October 2006 10:07 PM
The error was Received: Monday, 30 October 2006 11.31 AM
(Eastern Australia timezone)

Calling Vodadone I was told it was a global outage with no ETA available.

Anyone have any other news?

Can't help with any news Skeeve, but I can confirm they've been having big problems. I was porting my mobile number to Telstra from Vodafone on Saturday, and instead of the usual "less than an hour" the process actually took over 6 hours.

Wow..

Optus Blackberry service (actually - all BB BIS services) website was down, but the email services was fine. PIN messaging and such not working or..?
