Default Vibe AND Ring (at the same time)

Please Login to Remove!

I know this is a common rant... But as anyone thought of developing a module the will alter the Vibe + Ring behavior to actually do both at the same time as opposed to Vibe then Ring. Ideally it would be nice to have both. Vibe then Ring is ideal for meeting / quiet situations where you want a chance to divert the call. But I find in almost every Normal real world situation the two vibrates you get aren't enough to alert you to a call and it just leaves you with a few rings to grab it (if you can hear it ring). This is my number one complaint in moving purely to a BB and not having a phone.

Any plans from RIM? Some how I don't think this would be an easy Java hack.

Ya, I used to use a Hiptop which didn't have that feature either, it was a real pain in the butt sometimes when I was waiting for calls. Anyone know if they added the feature in the Pearl?

Thats too bad, its seems pretty standard for a lot of other phones out there, I guess I'm used to Motorola in that regard, they always had Vibe and Ring on their phones.

Not sure with all carriers but some will, with a call, change the number of rings before going to VM. This would give you a little more time.

I would like a choice also!

Default Moto's didn't always have vibe and ring

For what its worth, my previous motorola v600 could not vibrate and ring simultaneously. It could alternate vibe and ring.

although vibe and ring would be nice.. vibe THEN ring isnt too bad... especially when I don't feel it on my belt and then i hear it.. built in redundancy at its best..

"Webmessenger Alerts"

This product for a mere $20 one time will give you RING and VIBRATE (boy that was fun to type). Other RING and VIBRATE toys cost much more.
