Default Moving users to new BES

Please Login to Remove!

I saw this question before but this is a little different. Our company has been sold. The new company wants to decommission our BES and put our Blackberry users on their BES before integrating the email environment. How is that possible?

Do the user have mail accounts on the new company's email server(s)? That would need to occur first. Then the user would be added to their BES and the users would have to resync (if the BES is pre 4.x) or redo their Enterprise Activation (if the BES if 4.x).

To be clean, I'd recommend the users do a backup of their devices, wipe them, and then resync/reactivate.
No longer a BES Admin, but it was fun while it lasted!

Create new mail box on new mail server.
remove user from old BES.
back up hand held.
Wipe device.
Do an "advanced" restore of messages, and other "non-bes" specific data (i.e. selective restore, no service book, no policy, etc.)...
add user to new bes.
perform enterprise activation with new bes.

Test it
