Default Wireless Address Book Synch with Domino

Please Login to Remove!

We have setup our BB (all different models) against our BES server (latest release). All seems to be working fine. We get email, calendar, etc. We make changes from the Notes Client and they get to the BB, etc. The problem is with the address book. If I create a new address entry on the BB, it never gets synch'd to the server. I tried this with a memo and that worked fine. This is the only problem I have encountered and was wondering if anyone else has had the same issue AND if there is a fix.

Thanks

Since the address book is local, you gotta synchronise with your mail file
Open mailfile and go to actions/inotes web access/synchronise contacts
in 6.5.x: Actions/synchronise contacts

Or replicate the Address Book and Journal to the BES server.

We have a replica of the local address book on the server which BES is setup to access. Local replication keeps it in synch with the server replica. When I add a new entry on the BB, it never appears on teh server replica. We are NOT using BB Desktop Manager. The memos work great (as does calendar, email, etc). It is only new entries created in the Address Book that will not come over to the server replica of the personal address book.

Check in BES manager the PIM sync entries for that user
Verify that address book location server and relative path is correct

Everything is fine. This problem is for every user. The synching works great if you make a change in the Notes client just not when you add an entry on the BB itself.

Assuming that the ACL is correct for the BES to access the address book, another thing you may want to check as stupid as it sounds. But this did cause an issue for us. Verify that the entries added on the BB have not come to the add book in reverse name order
