Hey guys.. i just bought a bb 7100g on ebay.. and im excited to start using it. I have a cingular 1000 anytime minutes plan for 39 bucks.. and im looking for the cheapest way to take advantage of my new bb! What is the cheapest plan out there that will work with my new toy? Thanks for putting up with a new guy..

Welcome to the forums!

Give Cingular a call and have them add the unlimited BlackBerry Data Plan for $29.99. Without a BlackBerry Data Plan you will not have internet or email access.

Make sure that the seller has released the device and taken his user name, IMEI and PIN off of BIS so you can register and set it up in your name. Otherwise, you will have problems getting it provisioned and established on BIS.

Then add the dataplan as paulbblc suggested. No BB dataplan, no Internet, no email.

im pretty sure it is a refurb from cingular.. so hopefully i wont have anyproblem with that.. i hope. Not really sure how this all works.

Are there any extra charges involved with the unlimited plan.. and does that include sms?

well, I just looked online and there is no bb unlimited for 29.99.... there is a bb internet service plan for 29.99..but the cheapest i see for an unlimited is 44.99

The unlimited plan does not include text messaging. And just because it is a Cingular phone doesn't mean you won't have trouble. If the seller has not terminated his service and released the IMEI and PIN, your email will go to their BIS account - assuming the seller was on BIS.

The $44.99 plan is for corporate BES accounts. The $29.99 is unlimited personal assuming you also have a voice plan. The code is BBRYBISUNL.

cool, thats what i was wondering, what code are you talking about, do i give that to cingular? Well hopefully i wont have any problem.. i have a friend who is a cingular rep, so hopefully he can help me out with this...

BBRYBISUNL is the rate code listed for the $29.99. Your friend should know what it is.
