| Call TMobile and have them suspend your account. They won't be able to track it down via GPS, but at least you won't be stuck with bills for other people's usage, and it will render the handset pretty useless to others.
Good luck. | | Offline

| I agree with vincentnyc. At this point, send an SMS message to it with the title "Found My Phone?" or something easy like that. Include your house phone number and the amount of the reward if offering. Then make sure to put in that you will deactivate the phone if not returned by X date.
Oh wait, did you already deactivate it? | | Offline

| Not a good idea to leave your number here.
Also since the T-mobile and uses SIM cards, you might as well kiss it goodbye.
I lost lots of cell phones in the past and it's a good thing I have insurance on them. Not a single one got return to me.
It's probably on Ebay right now or will be in few months. Or they using it for themselves.
All they have to do is take your SIM card out and put theirs inside. | | Offline

| Relax and let it go.... it was an accident As the others have suggested here:
1) Call your carrier and have it deactivated.
2) Breathe deep, relax and just accept that it was an accident and it's gone.
3) Get yourself a replacement and get insurance if you did not already have it.
I use Safeware and it cost me a total of $25.00 one time fee to insure my 7130c. There is no deductible so if I lose it or ruin it, they pay the full price to replace it.
I have been using them for years and they paid for a stolen laptop, no hassle, no deductible. And I got the check in 3 days. Cannot be beat. I never buy insurance through the cellular carrier as for 4.95 to 9.95 per month and with a $50 deductible it's just overpriced.
Cheers....

Or if you have insurance than you can get another one for discount. I forgot how much. I think it's around $150 or something like that. If you do not have insurance than you have to buy a new one, since you already have a contract, you probably have to spend around $350 or around there.
Check on Ebay and see if you can find your phone there. But if you do find it, I have no idea how you can get it back though... maybe you can buy it back and see if you can get a refund though Paypal.
Sorry about your lost...

Cheers.... | i checked the Safeware's website. They did not have the option I could select for buying insurance for blackberry. however, they offer coverages for laptop, desktop, camera, pda, "smart phone".
anyhow, should i call Safeware to purchase the insurance? additionally, do they send you a written policy in mail?

however, they can do that, but i do not think they would do that for you; unless you are one of the most wanted people on FBI's top 10 list; or you know the TMO's CEO and the CEO asked their stuff to "research" the issue and fix it. etc.
you are out of luck.
by the way, did you put some personal information in the pearl which they would be accessed by whoever have your phone? did you set up the password? were you on BIS or BES or neither (i know lot of ppl buying a pearl without getting a data plan because they did not even know what a Blackberry supposes to be used for.)

| thanks for that info archer6.
I just put in my application for insurance on my 8700c. The guy that answered was great! $54 per year to insure a $450 phone!? Yes please.
By the way: Anyone else who does go with Safeware, the type of insurance you would want is:
*Portable Electronics>SmartPhone/PDA
*When it asks for the Serial Number: Use the IMEI number (confirmed with rep at Safeware)
*Provide all receipts
*Replacement cost=non-discounted price (add the phone to your cart WITHOUT a service contract) | | Offline
