Default Address Book syncs via cable but not via wireless

I have a very frustrating problem. We have BES 4.1 and Exchange 2000. One of our users (only one!) isn't getting updates to his address book when additions or changes are made.

However the first enterprise activation wireless sync did work. Also his address book changes work if the Blackberry is connected to his PC. I have swapped out the device and removed then recreated his BES account. If there were problems with the address book itself I would expect the cable sync to fail as well.

Has anyone encountered this problem before please?

I think the problem is that you cannot synch both wirelessly and when connected to Desktop Manager. If you synch using Desktop manager, it "breaks" the wireless synch. The only fix I know of is to wipe the BB and do a new Enterprise Activation. And turn OFF synchronization in Desktop manager.
