Default Wildcards in Filters?

Please Login to Remove!

I swear IU've searched this forum, other foums, the user guide and elsewhere, and have not seen this asked. Can you use wildcards in the email filters? If I don't want any mail sent to my BB from a certain domain, say abcdef.com,, can I put *@abcdef.com in the from field of the filter to prevent them from being forwarded?

I am speculating 100% here, but I doubt you could do it by forum. You might be able to do it by email address, but I would surmise that that would have to be done through the email client itself (ex: gmail, aol, whatever)

PhilMax,

Try setting it up as: If Any of these conditions are true: From > Contains > abcdef.com

(o) Do not forward messages to handheld.

I believe "Contains" implies wildcard the rest of the string.
You may also have it set to be moved to the delete folder if you wish.

I'd rather be able to set filters based on header info!

Steve

I am on a BES as part of a corporate pilot program. We are not yet letting the users install the desktop software nor sign up and use the BWC. There is a way to set up filters on the handheld itself (7100g w/ 4.0), and it is the option to create filters on the BB itself that I am asking about.

I am going to try using a wildcard and see if it works.

Thanks!
