Default Deploy an Address Book

Currently we have all of our users copy our company address book into their Outlook contacts every so often, but many users can't figure out how to do that.

Is there a way to have the Blackberry server send a list of contacts to all bb's automatically and keep them synced? I'm looking to sync a public folder or even a list on the BES with all phones so that if a new employee is added to the contact list everyone doesn't have to manually add them.

I'm running BES 4.1

I do not know enough information about BES to be at all that intelligent about it however I am on a company BES and we do not use the method that you mentioned rather that the company address book is always available by using the Lookup function of the BB. I imagine that this option is available to you as I think I remember it being a core function of BES.

From an end user perspective I can't even imagining doing your method but to each their own!

We use the Lookup feature at my company as well, much easier IMO. The only people I add from my company in my address book are if I want to put them in a group for myself.

That's exactly what the GAL lookup is designed for. Company address books easily get outdated for various reasons and it's not worth the hassle, IMO. The lookup is really easy to use on 4.1 devices (just type what you know of the name or email/id into the to: field) and not too difficult on older models.
