Default Without BES - Can you sync contacts OTA?

Please Login to Remove!

I am thinking about dropping my BES server and just doing all BIS 2.0 with imap accounts through thunderbird.

My question is, how can I still have my address book syn'c OTA in real time?

Nope. Without BES, you lose all wireless except e-mail.

Is there any way for Thunderbird to access an exchange account via IMAP and have access to the contacts, etc?

Without BES you have wireless data access to the internet, so if there is an application that syncs contacts you can do so over the web.

For a number of customers we have included VCard contact syncronization OTA into apps that we have built for them. The file must be available via the internet (can be password protected), but must be in the VCard format, so something on the server side must dynamically create the file, or you can occasionally export a file from your current contact management application.

If you are interested in a commercial solution, please don't hesitate to contact us.
