Default Opera Mini 3.0 Uh-Oh!!

Please Login to Remove!

When surfing secure bank sites (TD Financial) I discovered that Opera Mini caches your account number. This is great! Who wants to always enter those things. However, it also seems to CACHE YOUR PASSWORD! You can log out and end your session, surf to another site, return to your bookmarked bank login url and VOILA! User/pass fields are correctly populated. Not good.... If you CLOSE Opera and re-open, only the account # is populated.
All of this is no big deal if you are the onlyone using your BB (I suppose..) But if that is not the case - Heads Up!!

Yes, very good info to know. Not a big deal since I'm the only one who uses it but if I ever lost my BB that would be quite scarry. Even though they wouldn't be able to log in, I still don't want anyone knowing my account number.

Scary indeed! If you have lost your BB and are like most of us who never close out Opera (just tab out or convenience key out) then others would have full access to your account. Interac Email Money Transfer anyone!?

What are you, 12? What's with the veiled sarcasm? My post was meant as a heads up for people to not be caught unaware. Often times users on this forum jump to download an app based on the word of mouth of other users and seldom READ the caveats on BETA software. . Jesus. It makes you not wanna post!

I downloaded it and didn't read the website as I'm sure many others have. Don't worry about it foner, don't let someone with an attitude prevent you from posting.

sorry if you took this as attitude - i am just surprised that anyone would load anything onto their phone without doing a little background on it. kind of like trying to assemble your kids toys without the instructions if you do, you get what you deserve...

** please note tongue in cheek sarcasm....
