Default Old topic, same questions...still unanswered...

I have an issue with my Blackberry 7130c. I have a meeting that no matter what I do (deleted and re-synch'd, deleted intellisync directory, had meeting invite resent etc) it simply WILL NOT display on my device correctly.

It's a re-occuring meeting that recently went through a time change. Ever since then, it's been on the wrong time. It's still on the old time. I have searched these forums AND the ones at pinstack and although I see lots of folks with the same issue, I see no definitive fixes.

A little background. I am NOT using either BEP or BIS. I am simply using the device as a smartphone IE synch with desktop via USB.

Thanks in advance. About ready to chuck it and buy a windows mobile phone. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....!

Did you delete your databases from your PC?

You might not have this exact problem with a windows mobile device but I can assure you that you'll have 10 other problems that will make this look like a cakewalk.

You are maybe right, I don't know. I do know that my Ipaq 2215 has been rock solid and I can carry it around if needed. To me, the attraction of BB was the rock-solid hardware. All my cellphones up to this one have gotten craptastic reception.

I am just SO frustrated at this point. Normally, Google is my friend and I find answers within about 10-30 minutes of starting my search.

I believe that I have deleted the databases on my computer. I followed the instructions on one of the threads I found here that said "delete your Intellisync directory". Is that what you mean??

In this case, I found TONS of people with the same problem and NO solution!!

I think I am even more surprised that my question only go one response. :(

What PIM Software are you using? Perhaps the answer lies with the software that you used to create the Meeting. Depending on how you set up that appointment, PIM software can sometimes do some real funky stuff with time zones and what not.

Have you tried deleting the recurring meeting and starting from fresh?

Yes sir I have. I have deleted the meeting several times and had it resent. I apologize if I haven't provided enough detail. I am using Outlook 2007 (problem actually started with Outlook 2003 I believe) and I am using the BB Desktop Manager software to sync. The meeting IS being hosted by somebody in Singapore but it shows up correctly in everybody's Outlook as well as my Ipaq.

Thanks for the folks that have offered assistance! Much appreciated. As I stated in the previous posts, I have looked before asking!!

Check the Daylight Savings option in Outlook and on the pc that you are synching with.

I have seen where one of those two options are not set correctly causing the issue you describe.

You may then need to delete the entry on the BB and then re-synch.

Thanks, already done both, multiple times! Still not working. It's like it never registered the change that was made to the meeting.

The only other thing I can suggest is to make sure you're in the correct time zone on your device. I had a user who was set up for "Central America" and not "Central Time" so his time reset before daylight savings was over. Very odd.

Maybe just delete that entry altogether and make a brand new one with the correct time from the BB? Then sync and see what happens ... Else I fear it will just drive you insane.

Yah, I have tried all the suggestions. Definately still an issue.

Unfortunately seen this before on other messages and there doesn't seem to be any answers.
